Hello all you sexy folks out there. Today we’re reviewing the Sonic Ring kit, which includes a plastic Buzz bullet vibrator and a Sonic Ring - cock ring.
What makes the Sonic Ring different from others that we’ve tried is that the ring itself looks alarmingly small. Small enough that you could very easily slip it in a pocket to take on a date. When I first saw the masturbation aid, my first thought was there was no way it was going to fit me. I’m not hung like a horse or anything, but my dick is considerably larger than the single finger that it fit on. Lucky for my dick, the ring turned out to be very stretchy, though I wouldn’t go as far as to say you could use this as a cock-and-ball wrapper. It fits tight.
It’s made of non-latex synthetic rubber (aka TPE), which isn’t stinky like some TPE is, but does feel sticky. Though the stickiness improves somewhat with washing, I’d still caution men with a lot of pubic hair to use a smear of water based lube to put it on. That, or indulge in a bit of manscaping before you attempt it.
The bullet works off of 3 watch batteries (included), is single speed, and controlled by a push button on/off switch on the end. It’s about average in intensity, not weak but not something that manages to thrill all that large of an area once it’s in the ring either. And that’s my biggest bitch about it - getting it in the ring. The TPE sleeve it slips into is thin, flexible, and not all that big so fitting the bullet in is something that’s easiest done with small fingers and, again, a smear of lube. Just be sure that the lube is applied inside of the sleeve instead of on the bullet, because the ring gets very slippery if you get it on it.
Performance-wise it’s not bad depending on what you want it for. For boner-stiffening restriction and increased sensitivity, it does a reasonably good job, but for pleasing my lady it’s not my top choice. I found that it was all too easy to hit her pubic bone in an uncomfortable way with the bullet when thrusting since there’s not a lot of padding to its sleeve. It’s best to just lay back and let her work it.
It’s a step up from those disposable cock rings that come in condom boxes, but in my opinion there are better rings in the same price range.
Her point of view:
Sonic Ring would be good for women who like buzzy/tingly vibrations spread side-to-side across her labia that do *not* turn her man’s dick into a full-length vibrator, but it didn’t do much for me. It felt buzzier than most rings, which just isn’t my thing, and doesn’t connect in a way that I can get off with. Other women might really enjoy it though, and on the positive side it *is* quiet and waterproof.
